Hi EdwinFans!
Set list (thanks to Denise :-) :
Truly Believe
GPH
Shooting Stars
Darwins
ICNAFM
Lost in America
Take Me
Love TKO
Beautiful Life
Sign on the Door
My Mystery
I've Seen a Love / No Woman No Cry
I'll Be
Mad Mission (Patty Griffin)
3am
Being a week night following 2 nights of incredible O-Town fireworks and a Poison/Ratt show the previous night, I had a sense of a somber, very personal show.
Bryan Malpass was the opener and performed 4 songs (with Billy Chapin and Guy Walker sitting in on guitars). He performed a wonderful song written by Edwin McCain which will be on his new cd, not yet released. This 18 year old man was a nice surprise.
Sam Thacker was on fire, full of energy and passion for what he loves to do with his music. Keep your eyes out for Sam and see him LIVE! I bought his CD, "Above the Underneath" which is now part of my permanent CD rotation.
Thanks Sam!
Edwin, Larry, Craig, Peter, & Manny were great. One of the best shows yet for me. I've never gotten to hear Love TKO (which Edwin sang with such passion), or Mad Mission, (wonderful), and to close with 3am! OMG, thank you, thank you, thank you Edwin! That's the first song on my Ipod and I never thought I'd get to hear it LIVE!
Edwin was pretty quiet with his storytelling but the show was great, really what I needed after not seeing them for 7 months.
I did miss Pete Riley not being there again. And I was really looking forward to seeing Steve Williams Band opening, especially since their name was on the sign and the printed calendar. ???
Steve, let us know when you come to Florida, I think I speak for all of us that we are looking forward to seeing you Live someday in the near future.
Dinner with the Moderators and Fans was reallly fun (we miss you Sarah Spl@sh). Thanks Denise, Regina, Kim, Lisa, Terry (or Mr Lisa as we like to call him), Danea, and Tim. I know you guys put on a lot of miles and it was fun hanging out. Our dinner crowd seems to be getting bigger and better.
Thank you to Edwin, Larry, Peter, Sam, and Bryan for your hospitality, pictures, and autographs!
