Mine had to be a Wilmington show a couple of years back. Edwin & Craig were doing an acoustic show and we met them in the parking lot behind Mars as they were unpacking their instruments. Edwin was driving his wife's dually so we walked right by them! When I realize it was them (first time ever meeting either one of them) I did a Uturn and introduced myself and chatted. The icing on the cake was that there were fireworks going off at that very moment since there was a river walk festival going on too, so I was standing there, talking to Edwin & Craig with fireworks above us. It was totally awesome!!!!!
What's been your most memorable meeting or concert?

Mine best concert so far was a show a few years back in downtown Nashville at the Music City Mix. It's an outdoor venue where you can enjoy a beer and stand around with the other Edheads when the weather is decent. The best part was about 30 minutes before Edwin and the band took stage and Edwin was making a trip from the bus to backstage when a mother and daughter stopped and talked to Edwin for a minute. He stopped and took a minute to talk to the daughter and made her feel special which I thought was pretty cool. I have seen artists do the meet and greet and walk away mouthing about how they hate that part of the gig, but the little things like that are what makes or breaks you when you aren't a major label item. Everyone should be really thankful that the guys in the band go out of their way when they are offstage.

Can't wait till my next show!

Peace,

Kurt

My favorite was the Brunswick show when I yelled FREEBIRD and got a cool story about bungee jumping.

As I've never been to an EMB concert I would have to say the best concert I ever went to was Aerosmith in 2001. I had amazing seats, I actually got to reach out and touch Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. That was a really great night.

my favorite show was when I won a backstage meet and greet before Sundown in the City a few years ago. I was a bundle of nerves even though I had already met and spoke with Edwin at a previous show. After it was all said and done Edwin left and left his water bottle (unopened) sitting on the table. A friend of a friend of mine snatched it as we all walked away. She gave the bottle to me before Edwin took the stage. Edwin put on an amazing show that night and even sang "my song" that I had requested.

My favorite show has to be EMB at the Dogwood Festival. Seeing them outdoors on a beautiful evening was wonderful. You can see pics in the gallery!

I will have to go with my first ever EMB concert Aug 2001 at the Knoxville Sundown in the City. I had no idea what to expect. The show was fantastic, but what was the most memorable was that after the show my friend and I decided to see if there were t-shirts or anything to buy(we found t-shirts) and was we were walking to the exit we saw this crowd right by the bus and we were like what is going on so we made our way through the crowd and there Edwin was right in the middle of the bunch signing stuff for people, so I walked right up behind him and tapped him on his shoulder and he turned around and I said "Hi" can we get a picture and he said sure! He also signed my t-shirt. I then got the picture signed 2 years later at a Chicago HOB show.

To answer your earlier post Tinsel I have seen Keith Urban perform at the Ryman Auditorium a while back. The show was absolutely awesome. Keith Urban can flat wail the living crap out or his guitars and produce some of the best guitar work youwould ever want to hear. I met him in a guitar store in Nashville once where he bought a beautiful Bourgeois guitar while shopping with Niki Tyler. Very nice guy. I was amazed that what few coustomers were in the shop didn't pound him for autographs.

Peace,

Kurt
