It was a great, great show, Ingram Hill sounded great, they did a short set, not to familier with them so I really have no clue what songs they did, but they sounded great, then Hazel rocked. the place was packed but comfortable, I met up with a bunch of Hazelnuts and saw a bunch more that I already had met on Friday at Jannus Landing. It was Drew's daughter Haven's birthday so she ran out on stage and we sang HB to her and she, and daddy, blew out the candles. Then said GO GATORS it was so cute. she's so cute too. What a life for a 3 year old huh??
About the ticket, I gave it to Gil (Danacreative) to sell for a donatoin to his OSD jump coming up in August he found a buyer and is 1 more toe out the door of the plane towards his goal of $1,500.00.
Then the highlight of the whole thing. I took my guitar in hopes that Ryan would sign it. Jett came out and got mobbed but had to run. He was driving home alone and had a 3 hour ride ahead on him and had to get up with his daughter this morning. He signed a few things posed a few times and then we let him go. Same thing with Drew he had the 3 tired kids with him said he was sorry but couldn't stay and left but sent sincere aplogies back with Kevin A Hawk brother, (I think that was him). THEN a few minutes later I heard my name from afar, It was Gil walking towards me with a smiling RYAN, the opportunity was upon me, Ryan was gonna sign my guitar (heart beating faster now) He asked me if I wanted him to write Sister Hazel on it too I said "yup you can write anything you want on it". Well, I think thats what I said I didn't know you can talk with your jaw on the ground (I've met Ryan before, but he was SIGNING MY GUITAR) then he said it was a nice guitar and posed for a pic with me and the new and improved Buttercup. Missed Mark and Ken. I have no clue where Ken was I saw him on Friday and was way cool as normal but Mark was on the bus when they pulled it out and the driver called a 12 year old girl Katie and her mom Deb onto the bus and she got a hotel conformation printout signed and her pic with Mark and Ryan she was on cloud nine at breakfast after wards. I and the whole bunch of NUTS had a great time.
Look out for Lyrics 4 Life October 13 in Tampa somewhere, Sister Hazel will be there and I talked to Edwin Thursday he's not confirmed but said he should be there It's a nice dinner and an intamate acoustic show afterward, The show of the year for me!!
